Lake Wickaboag to get algaecide treatment July 21

WEST BROOKFIELD - The Lake Wickaboag Preservation Association, along with the West Brookfield Board of Health, has announced that on Wednesday, July 21, Lake Wickaboag will receive a total lake algaecide application and spot herbicide application to treat nuisance aquatic vegetation.

Land Trust, selectmen working to acquire 340 acres for conservation

WEST BROOKFIELD – The board of selectmen voted unanimously to authorize Cynthia Henshaw, Executive Director of the East Quabbin Land Trust, to seek a state grant to help purchase 340 acres of land off of Wickaboag Valley and Madden Roads, in order to conserve it.
