Firefighters engulfed in pay dispute

WARREN – Thirty-four on call firefighters are still waiting for their pay that was due June 10. They should have checks this week, but that pay will not be for the full amount earned.

Town Hall needs a plan for re-use

WARREN – The town hall is in limbo. The upstairs is vacant and the police department, which is downstairs, wants to move out. If that happens, the building will stand empty.
That’s not what people want, according to the town hall re-use study in which 246 residents responded to a survey, saying in nearly one voice: Keep the building in town hands and bring it back to life.

Warren Public Library offers summer reading activities

WARREN - Children may sign up now at Warren Public Library’s “Go Green Summer Reading Program”. They’re encouraged to read this summer about camping, nature, conservation, endangered animals, gardening, summer sports, crafts and mysteries. They can find books about raising animals, chasing butterflies, building a tree house or a sand castle.
