announces summer programs
Musical comedy set for
Tuesday, June 22
EAST BROOKFIELD Ð Sign up for
a summer of fun begins on Tuesday, June 22, at 6 p.m., when the East Brookfield
Public Library presents a musical comedy for the whole family, ÒRecycled
RhythmÓ with Vic and Sticks.
According to library director
Wendy Payette, this fast-paced musical show signals the beginning of sign-up
for the summer program to start on Monday, July 5. The summer program is scheduled
to run for six weeks, and will include weekly programs for the family and for
children.
Mondays will include special
programs for family at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m. will
feature a movie and popcorn, plus independent reading, weekly guessing games,
and an end of the summer reading program.
Thursdays will include a
variety of programs for different age groups, including:
(Ages 3-5) weekly story time,
story, crafts, movement, treasure hunts, teaching creatures (live animals) and
an end of the summer pool party.
(Ages 6-8) 1:30 p.m. Books,
crafts and fun; and teaching creatures with live animals;
(Ages 9-14) 2:30 p.m. craft
fun using recycled materials, henna art, make-up, manicures and pedicures, and
pizza and a movie;
(Ages 9-16) Recycle, reduce,
reuse! East Brookfield

Letterboxing club Ð make
letterboxes, hide them.
Payette emphasizes that the
programs are free and open to the public. She suggests a visit to the library
