Air National Guard Band to hold free concert

 

Limited seating Ð tickets available now on first serve basis

 

EAST BROOKFIELD Ð A free concert by the Air National Guard Band of New England will be presented on July 1 at 7 p.m. in the East Brookfield Elementary School auditorium.

Due to limited seating at this indoor concert, tickets will be required for admission, according to Joan Bedard, concert organizer. Those tickets will be available on a first serve basis at E.B Flatts Restaurant, the Lashaway Inn, East Brookfield Pizza, The Trolley Stop Restaurant, the Fiddle Canter, Podunk Deli and the libraries in North Brookfield, Brookfield, West Brookfield, Warren and New Braintree.

The concert, a portion of East BrookfieldÕs Quaboag 350th celebration, will be the first concert of the bandÕs New England tour this summer. The forty-piece band, according to a spokesman for the group, is comprised of world class professionals.

The concert, according to local organizer Dennis Lebeau, will perform in three different segments to include concert, swing and salsa bands. The band will be escorted into town by the American Legion Riders, who will meet them at the Mass pike exit in Palmer.
